Located in the Town of Penetanguishene, the Subject Property contains an existing thirty (30)-unit residential apartment building. The owner proposed the addition of two (2) new residential dwelling units within the existing basement, consisting of one 1-bedroom unit and a 2-bedroom unit. No exterior alterations to the existing apartment building were proposed, with only minor modifications to the existing site layout required to accommodate the development.
The proposal required a Site Plan Amendment Application. Throughout the application process, the project team worked closely with the client and the Town to address applicable planning and technical requirements, coordinate necessary revisions, and ultimately secure approval for the proposed development.
Design Plan Services Inc. was retained by the client to manage and coordinate the planning approvals process, including the preparation and submission of the Site Plan Amendment Application, coordination with the project team and municipal staff, and management of the application through to final approval.
